At a press conference, Zong announced the launching of its 3G services for its customers in Islamabad. Previously, Zong launched its 3G services in Karachi and Lahore. ‘Zong Super 3G’ is the name that is given to the branding of Zong 3g services that will facilitate Zong consumers experience tremendously fast internet, by which they will be competent to stream videos and songs within minutes. Zong claims that it is offering the best in class technology HSPA+ (High Speed Packet Access) providing theoretical speeds of up to 42 Mbps of 2g and 3g internet to Zong users.
