Ufone Pakistan has extended its free 3G trial service in major cities of Pakistan including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad & Rawalpindi. Earlier, free 3G trial by Ufone was limited till 10th of May, 2014. This service was launched in Lahore for the first time, then introduced in Rawalpindi and Islamabad & finally it arrived to various areas of the mega city, Karachi exclusively for Ufone customers.
On 23rd April 2014, an electronic auction was held by Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) for the licensing of 3G and 4G services in Pakistan. Bids of $1.182 billion were the result of that auction. On the base price of $147.5 million, Ufone won a 5 MHz spectrum for 3G services. Now-a-days Ufone is extremely delighted to start on an all-out commercial edition of its 3G services.
Devoid of the favoritism of exclusive members as it is done by other telecom operators of Pakistan who participated in the spectrum auction 2014 that they launch 3G services in various regions of Pakistan, Ufone has provided its 3G services of internet in all of the coverage areas. Humongous response was created by Ufone customers due to this reason. Not only is this, non-Ufone customers also now compelled to buy Ufone connection because of this equality attitude by Ufone network. At the Ufone customer centers, large crowds were generated to buy a Ufone SIM. In the free 3G trial offer, this extension has come. It is due to the increment in the anticipated date of distribution of 3G licenses to the telecom companies of Pakistan.
