Telenor Stretches its 3G Coverage

Telenor Pakistan has announced the 2nd phase of commercial rollout of 3G services across Pakistan. During the second phase, Telenor will launch its 3g services in 10 major cities of Pakistan that are named below. All of these cities of Pakistan are being added to the overall 3G coverage by Telenor in the month of July 2014:

  • Sarai Alamgir
  • Gujranwala
  • Kharian
  • Multan
  • Gujrat
  • Sialkot
  • Abbottabad
  • Faisalabad
  • Peshawar
  • Sargodha

At present, free 3g trial by Telenor is available to all of its 3g customers in Sarai Alamgir, Gujranwala, Kharian and Gujrat. Those Telenor customers who are in Multan, Sialkot, Abbottabad, Faisalabad, Peshawar and Sargodha will be able to use free 3g trial by Telenor by the end of July 2014. Under the Telenor free 3G trial offer, all its customers can use 50 MBs of internet data on daily basis. Data services on 2G will be charged as usual.

Regarding the end of free 3G trial of Telenor, the users will informed via Telenor Pakistan’s official website, SMS, outdoor advertising campaigns and company’s Facebook page.

On this occasion, Chief Marketing Officer of Telenor Pakistan, Irfan Wahab Khan, said,

“We are delighted to launch 3G services in 10 more cities during the second phase of commercial rollout in line with our commitment to build a digital future for all.

The second phase of the commercial rollout does not only make our services available in all major cities across country but also enable us to target fast growing data market in these areas. We are working hard to provide state of the art products and services to our customers and will keep on adding more cities and town to our 3G coverage roadmap every month”

It is important to mention that Telenor Pakistan at present has one of the largest networks of 3G enabled cell sites in Pakistan with 14 cities powered by its 3G services by the end of July 2014.
