SimPK brings the exclusive news about blocking of UN-verified SIMs of all telecom operators of Pakistan. The earlier deadline of February 27th, 2015 for blocking of UN-verified SIMs is extended. Now, the deadline of UN-verified SIMs blocking is 12th of April, 2015 as per as our sources.
According to the communications and earlier reports from cellular companies as well as PTA, the local telecom SIMs users in Pakistan were supposed to get their SIMs verified via Biometric re-verification system before 26th February, 2015. It means that if any of the SIM would remain UN-verified till 26th February 2015, then it will automatically get blocked on 27th February, 2015.
However, this deadline has been moved now to April 12th, 2015 and customers can verify their connection via BVS till this date without suffering any SIM blocking issue. If any SIM remains UN-verified till 12th April 2015, then it will automatically and immediately be blocked after the expiry of mentioned deadline.
